As time draws nearer to the publication of Song Without Words on November 1st, I realize how incredibly blessed I am to be able to do what I love and make a living from it. I’m excited about the release of my third book, and am really looking forward to celebrating it by giving back. So I’ll be donating a portion of the November sales of all my books to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The reason I chose St. Jude is because of their total, never-ending and compassionate care of children with catastrophic illness. No child is ever denied treatment. Ever. The family’s ability to pay makes no difference; if a child needs care, they get it at St. Jude. No family ever pays St. Jude anything. Ever.
But treating up to 260 patients per day for childhood cancers, pediatric AIDS and other catastrophic diseases isn’t cheap. St. Jude’s daily operating costs are $1.8 million. Per day. That cost is primarily covered by public contributions.
So if you’ve been thinking about buying one of my books, please consider doing it during the month of November. A portion of sales for that month will be donated to St. Jude. And that includes all pre-orders for Song Without Words going on now. To find out where to buy my books, just check out my Books page, or click one of the book covers on the right. And please feel free to share this with your friends, too! 🙂
And speaking of giving back, I want to give back to you, my readers! Don’t miss the free short story featuring the characters from Athena’s Daughter, all new for you for Halloween, just to thank you all for being so amazing!
