This Is A Short One Because I’m Shaking In My Boots (If I Can Find Them)

As I type this, I have one eye on the monitor and one eye on our local weather radar. I think I must also have some of those heretofore mythical eyes in the back of my head, too, because I’m also managing to keep a lookout on the window behind me. The last gasp of summer is giving way to fall, and Mother Nature isn’t any more happy about it than I am. I took a screenshot of my local radar for y’all, and though it doesn’t look too horrible here, there has already been one tornado spawned from this line of storms.

Since I’m on “Ready To Run To The Basement” high alert, I’ll forego the blog I intended to write today, and instead get my shoes out of the closet. (Our weather dude always tells us to make sure we have our shoes with us when we go to our storm safe place. Children all over this area of the Mid-South grow up grabbing shoes before flashlights.)

Before I give in completely to the fear and loathing that accompanies autumn storms, I’ll leave you with a bit of shameless promotion. 😉 Sister Golden Hair is on sale for one week only in the U.S. and the U.K. at Amazon. Through October 17th you can get it for just 99¢ in the States, and £0.99 in the U.K. Okay, promotion over.

Now, where did I put my shoes??
